Signal lights and push-button box with IO-Link from RAFI
With new versions of its field-compatible E-BOX command units and TILTED DIAMOND+ signal lamps, RAFI is now offering two innovative product families for the IO-Link interface. As a pushbutton box with an IO-Link interface, E-BOX IO-Link makes it possible to integrate individual switches and pushbuttons into any fieldbus for simple control tasks. Thanks to their M12 connection, the slim and robust units with IP65 can be quickly installed and commissioned even by untrained personnel.
IO-Link device identification prevents incorrect installations, as incorrectly installed devices are reported to the control system. The automatic transfer of saved parameters to replacement devices via the IO-Link master makes things even simpler. Thanks to the integrated MICON 5 series short-stroke pushbuttons, the illuminated pushbuttons of the E-BOX have excellent tactile feedback and can be customized with a wide range of functions via IO-Link. In addition to the night mode with various brightness levels, this also includes the flexible choice between white, red, green, blue and yellow illumination or three customer-adjustable RGB colors. In addition, the push-buttons can be configured with four different flashing modes for different applications. RAFI supplies the E-BOX IO-Link ready for use with one or two switching or display elements from the RAFIX FS 22+ series. with its compact dimensions of 123.2 mm x 40 mm x 35.6 mm is ideal for mounting on 40 mm wide profile rails of production equipment or safety fences. The accessories include a mounting clip for profile rail grooves and other mounting surfaces, onto which the E-box is simply snapped.
At the same time, RAFI is launching an IO-LINK version of its RGB LED signal lights from the TILTED DIAMOND+ series, which can also be set up in a very short time thanks to the M12 connection and IO-Link parameterization. In addition to freely configurable night settings and light colors, TILTED DIAMOND+ IO-Link offers the option of signaling application-specific alarms or machine statuses using eight different flashing modes such as flashing, blinking or pulsating light. The signal lights are characterized by special brightness, shock resistance with protection class IP66, freedom from maintenance and their unusual dome-shaped bezel design. Thanks to the all-round diamond-shaped lenses, the panels achieve excellent illumination, clear signal colors and optimum visibility over long distances. Mounting tubes in various lengths and shapes and a mounting base are available as accessories.
