The new PWM (pulse width modulation) electronics from Atam, which is integrated in the EN175301-803-A connector, has the following features:
- Reduced energy consumption with less heat generation
- Automatic regulation of the output power depending on the input voltage.
- "Refresh" function
- Protection against short circuits, overloads and inductive overvoltages
- Protection against reverse polarity
- "Overboosting" is possible
- Installation and dimensions in accordance with EN175301-803-A (formerly DIN 43650)

The KA_XX is a plug connector equipped with a PWM control circuit for controlling solenoids in order to optimize energy consumption. Because the control of each solenoid valve only requires maximum energy in the first moment to reliably position the moving core in the valve, but then loses an unnecessary amount of energy only in the form of heat, the KA_XX valve reduces the output power in a controlled manner after the initial phase, thereby significantly limiting the energy consumption and heat generation of the valve.
The "Refresh" function sends short current pulses at regular intervals to ensure the full attraction force of the solenoid.
The circuit also regulates the current in the solenoid coil depending on the input voltage and is based on the minimum operating data of the valve so as not to completely discharge the supplying batteries, for example.
The following values can be adjusted as required:
- Percentage of energy "Save"
- PWM" duty cycle
- Full service phase "Start time"
- "Refresh"
The KA_XX connector can be used for initial "overboosting" of the current and then helps you to save energy permanently.
